Celebrate Mother’s Day with a traditional Bavarian Frühschoppen in our Friendship Garden — a relaxed, social brunch rooted in authentic German tradition.
Enjoy a menu centered around:
Weisswurst (traditional Bavarian white sausages)

Our own Hefeweissbier (beer samples for 21+)

Join Alliance Française de San Francisco, Goethe-Institut, and Istituto Italiano Scuola for a festive and musical evening of karaoke, conversation, and international hits. Whether you want to practice your French lyrics, sing in Italian or German, or simply enjoy the atmosphere, this night is all about celebrating languages, culture, and friendship across Europe.
Pick your favorite song, grab the mic, and show off your singing talent, or cheer on fellow guests and share a few laughs along the way. No pressure, just good vibes!
Not a singer? No problem! Come enjoy the lively atmosphere, sip a signature cocktail, and help us light up the dance floor. It’s the perfect opportunity to meet fellow language lovers and celebrate the joy of being together.

Spring starts in earnest with the annual celebration of the famous Bockbier coming to the Sacramento Turn Verein on Saturday, April 18th, 2026. This traditional Bockbierfest will present authentic German Bockbier from Germany, great German music and a variety of German foods. Wonderful German dancing music will be provided by local favorite bands, plus special performances of German traditional dances by the Alpentänzer Schuhplattler.
One day only in 2026, our building is 100 years old!
Doors will open at 3:00 p.m. with all activities available to enjoy until 11:00 p.m.
Food and drink available upstairs, downstairs and in the Biergarten. German dance music will be provided in the Main Hall by The Gruber Family Band. Outdoor Biergarten music by the Alpenmeisters. AKAlive! will perform upstairs in our Banquet Hall. The Turn Verein’s delicious Kaffeehaus serves specialty desserts and the outdoor Biergarten will have unique Bockbier from Germany plus our wonderful curry wurst.
Pre-purchase admission is $25 for adults, children up to 12 years, $5.00. Adult tickets at the door $30 if available.
