Founded in 1995 in Cypress, CA, the St. Thomas More Society of Orange County emerged from a powerful vision shared by five dedicated Catholic attorneys who recognized the spiritual toll that legal practice was taking on their profession. Inspired by a homily delivered at the Red Mass, these founders envisioned an organization that would help Catholic lawyers and judges strengthen their faith while navigating the demands of their careers. Named after St. Thomas More—a brilliant lawyer, devoted family man, and steadfast defender of Catholic faith—the Society has grown into a vibrant community united by shared professional and spiritual values.
