Scaling Agrivoltaics: Technology Innovation & Farm Economics Scaling Agrivoltaics: Technology Innovation & Farm Economics This year’s Agrivoltaics Conference brings together farmers, solar developers, researchers, policymakers, and investors to explore the latest agrivoltaic technologies and their real-world applications from Germany, the US, and beyond. The event will showcase current Agri-PV systems in operation and provide practical insights into how these technologies can be integrated into existing agricultural operations. Beyond technology, the conference will focus on the economic dimension: What revenue streams can farmers realistically expect? What are potential business models? What are the long-term financial and operational implications? Through expert panels, case studies, and field-driven discussions, participants will gain a clear understanding of how agrivoltaics can enhance farm resilience, diversify income, and unlock new investment opportunities, while maintaining productive land use. Building on the success of previous conferences, we are proud to once again host California’s premier platform for agrivoltaics. This event will foster knowledge exchange, bring together key stakeholders, and drive collaborations that position agrivoltaics as a cornerstone of sustainable farming in the future. During past conferences , 200+ attendees engaged in discussions on various topics with 30+ expert speakers. The forthcoming #CGAV26 aims to explore these topics further and enhance the experience with a field trip, offering attendees first-hand examples of agrivoltaics in action for a thorough understanding. The goal is to strengthen German-American partnerships, advancing the rapidly growing agrivoltaics market and solidifying agrivoltaics as a sustainable farming solution for the future. About the conference The California Germany Agrivoltaics Conference was created to strengthen transatlantic collaboration in this important sector, promote idea exchanges, and create an ecosystem from which all players involved can benefit. The goal is to build strong German-American partnerships that will lead this growing market of agrivoltaics. This conference is a joint initiative of the co-organizers Representative of German Business (GACC West), UC Davis, and Sunzaun, supported by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection.

The Cal Poly Black Alumni Community is coming together Saturday, Feb. 7, starting at noon for another Black Heritage Month activity with a special pregame mixer at Black Bear Diner (255 2nd St, Davis, CA 95616). Bust out your green and gold and mix and mingle with fellow alumni during this casual reception. Guests also will have the chance to meet volunteer leaders from the Cal Poly Black Alumni Community. Do not forget to pick up some swag before the Cal Poly men’s basketball game against UC Davis. After the social, head over to University Credit Union Center (750 Orchard Rd, Davis, CA 95616) to cheer on the Mustangs as they face the Aggies.
