The Muslim Bar Association of Southern California (MBSAC) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting and serving the interests of the Southern California’s Muslim Community. We are a resource for attorneys who are interested in issues affecting the Muslim community.
MBASC is a bar association of Southern California Muslim lawyers and legal professionals geared towards advancing the interests of the Muslim community while providing a platform of professional development.
MBASC serves a diverse community through providing networking services, continuing legal education on current legal topics and strives to serve the legal related needs of the general Muslim community of Southern California through community service programs and is committed to providing legal representation to those in need.
MBASC members are either Muslim or have a strong interest in advancing the rights of Muslim Americans. Membership to MBASC is open to any licensed attorney in good standing of the bar in any state of the United States or province of Canada who lives or works in Southern California, current law students, or legal professionals regardless of race, nationality, ethnic or religious background, or sexual orientation.

Ashkan Yekrangi is passionate about immigration. Himself an immigrant, Ashkan understands the American Dream and interacts with each of his clients knowing what it means to become a citizen of the United States of America. There are many hurdles individuals face while either traveling to, or attempting to establish residency in the USA. This may be for a business or tourist visa, or establishing residency for yourself or your loved ones. We are here to help you navigate this confusing process.
Ashkan attended the University of California, Irvine, earning a bachelor's in International Studies. As an undergraduate student, Ashkan owned a business that catered to various ethnic communities. As a student at the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, Ashkan interned at the Supreme Court of California for the Honorable Justice J. Kennard, in addition to serving as an editor for the Hastings Law Journal. After graduation, Ashkan volunteered for a non-profit organization specializing in asylum--our office steadfastly believes that the right to live in a society free from persecution is a fundamental human right.
