Nic Cocis – Criminal Defense Attorney –
I have been an attorney since 1999, defending the rights of those accused of serious crimes in California courts and in federal courts across the United States. I graduated with honors from the University of California – Riverside and earned my Juris Doctor from McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento, California.
I have represented clients in a wide range of criminal cases, including financial crimes, ATM - EBT fraud, bank fraud and money laundering. My clients have included police officers, healthcare professionals, teachers, military personnel, and firefighters—people whose careers and reputations were on the line. Some of the cases I’ve handled have been featured in national publications such as the Los Angeles Times, San Francisco Chronicle, and Washington Times.
I interned at the Sacramento District Attorney’s Office and at California’s Department of Fair Employment and Housing. In 2018, I was honored as “Attorney of the Year” by the Southwest Riverside County Bar Association. I’m an active member of several professional organizations and am admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, federal courts, and all California state courts.
