Since its founding in 1975, the Orange County Women Lawyers Association has been a cornerstone of professional support and advocacy for women in the legal field throughout Newport Beach and Orange County, California. What began as a small gathering of five attorneys discussing the formation of the Women and Individual Rights section has grown into a vibrant organization with over 600 members dedicated to advancing women's representation in law. The association's founding vision—to champion not only women's rights but also the rights of all individuals experiencing discrimination—remains central to its mission today. OCWLA is dedicated to raising awareness of discrimination and bias within the legal profession while building a professional network that empowers women attorneys at all career levels.
