Rex Tran
Professional Experience
Since becoming a member of the California Bar, Rex Tran has focused his practice on representing consumer debtors in bankruptcy. Prior to forming Tran Bankruptcy Law, Mr. Tran founded The Law Offices of Chen & Tran. Additionally, he was a Managing Attorney for the largest bankruptcy firm in the nation.
To date, Mr. Tran has handled over 1000 Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases. As an owner, Mr. Tran continues to handle matters personally as a bankruptcy attorney in Orange County, Los Angeles, and Riverside. His aim is to ensure that all staff members are trained to provide the highest quality service to our bankruptcy clients.
Mr. Tran is a cum laude graduate of the University of California, Irvine and received his Juris Doctorate from California Western School of Law in San Diego.
Military Experience
Mr. Tran served as a Sergeant First Class in the United States Army Reserves for 15 years. As the Chief Paralegal he was the most Senior Enlisted Soldier with the 78th Legal Operations Detachment in Los Alamitos, CA. In 2008, he was deployed to Camp Taji, Iraq, in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom, where he provided legal support for Soldiers under the 10th Sustainment Brigade, 10th Mountain Division out of Fort Drum, New York. Mr. Tran also served in Honduras in support of the military’s Beyond the Horizon mission. During his 15 year military career, he also worked on courts-martial cases, military boards, and provided legal assistance such as helping Soldiers obtain citizenship, wills, and powers of attorney.

Sean Vargas
Mr. Sean Vargas is a graduate of Chapman University’s Fowler School of Law. He is the only student in the university’s history to earn an International Law Distinction, a fundamental principle of international humanitarian law. Before obtaining his Doctor of Law Degree in International Law and Legal Studies, Mr. Vargas earned his Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from Point Loma Nazarene University. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 2008 and has been a practicing attorney ever since.
Mr. Vargas has handled thousands of cases throughout his career, securing maximum compensation for those who were affected by the negligence of another individual or entity. He exclusively handles personal injury cases, specializing in motor vehicle accidents, workplace accidents, and wrongful death. In addition to his years of experience, Mr. Vargas has also served as Pro Tem Judge at the Worker’s Compensation Appeals Board (WCAB), an establishment of judicial powers that honor the labor codes and provide legal guidance to the Work Comp community.
He is passionate about assisting those in need by providing top-tier legal representation. Mr. Vargas operates in a client-first approach; that is to say, he strives to understand the true needs of clients so he can better serve them in order to maximize their medical and financial recovery. His efforts have earned Mr. Vargas a selection to Super Lawyers of 2022–an honor only awarded to the most outstanding attorneys in the US who have been nominated by their peers.
