The Connecticut Asian Pacific American Bar Association (CAPABA) is the only association geared towards Asian Pacific American attorneys in Connecticut. CAPABA’s membership consists of attorneys, law professors, law students, and interested individuals. CAPABA was formed on May 1, 2000 as a 501(c)(6) organization.
CAPABA’s mission is to support Asian Pacific American attorneys and communities and those interested in Asian Pacific American legal issues throughout the state of Connecticut. To that end, we have established a Mentor Program to assist Asian Pacific American law students in Connecticut to become successful attorneys and an Asian Pacific American Legal Referral Service to encourage professional relationships among those attorneys. We also partner with local and national bar associations in sponsoring programs and conferences.
Founded in 1973, OCA – Asian Pacific American Advocates is a 501(c)(3) national non-profit, membership-driven organization based in Washington, D.C. with over 50 chapters and affiliates around the country. Touching hundreds of thousands of AAPIs each year.
OCAFC – Asian Pacific American Advocates is dedicated to advancing the social, political, and economic well-being of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPIs in Fairfield County. OCA works with its organizational partners, members, chapters, and supporters to empower the next generation of leaders.
Our impact in the community: with the help of our dedicated parents and volunteers, our members and our supporters within our broad Community, have successfully prepared many of our children to continue advanced college-level studies in Mandarin.
