We are an Italian-American non-profit civic group devoted to being of service to the community.
Unico Clubs were gradually being created and motivated by Unico-National were developing significant support. In the sixties Frank Gencarelli through perseverance and effort attracted the support and commitment of 25 young men as now required by Unico National by-laws for consideration. They met on December 18, 1969 and voted to establish the Farmington Chapter of Unico-National with its approval.
As presented below, UNICO NATIONAL has been evolving and growing over a number of years and throughout this growth, very specific and desired goals have energized, guided and mobilized its efforts:
- Increase awareness of Italian cultural contributions to the arts, literature, and cinema
- Improve community relations with governmental and private agencies
- Outreach to Italian studies departments at area colleges and universities
- Growth in younger members
