Since 1997, the National Federation of Filipino American Associations (NaFFAA) has served as the standard bearer for Filipino American welfare and empowerment across the United States. What began with visionary founding members organizing just over 2.5 million Filipinos and Filipino Americans has evolved into a movement representing over four million community members—the second-largest Asian American group in the nation.
Based in Washington, DC, NaFFAA embodies a mission to amplify Filipino American voices, advocate for their interests, and provide essential resources for community empowerment. The organization envisions Filipino American communities that are culturally, economically, and politically empowered and engaged, united through shared purpose and collective action.
At its core, NaFFAA operates on five foundational values: diversity and inclusion that welcome all perspectives, collaboration that transcends generations and ideological differences, accountability through transparency and goal-focused commitment, justice through speaking against injustices and promoting civil rights, and integrity in serving the best interests of Filipino Americans.
The organization's strength lies in its expansive network of fifteen regional chapters covering every corner of the nation, creating pathways for Filipino Americans to connect, lead, and grow together. Whether through leadership development, civic engagement, cultural celebration, or national advocacy, NaFFAA remains committed to uniting diverse individuals and community organizations. This inclusive approach has made NaFFAA the trusted voice for Filipino Americans seeking to build stronger communities, advance their rights, and ensure their contributions to American society are recognized and celebrated.
