The Turkish Embassy has been serving at its current chancery in Washington, DC’s famous Embassy Row in Massachusetts Avenue since 1999. There are also the Office of the Armed Forces Attaché, the Office of the Education Counselor, the Office of the Social and Religious Counselor, the Office of the Press Counselor, the Office of the Commercial Counselor, the Office of the Customs Counselor, the Office of the Culture and Tourism Counselor, the Office of the Economic Counselor, the Office of the Agricultural Counselor and the Office of the Planning Counselor in the Embassy.
The consular services throughout the US are being covered by the Embassy and the Turkish Consulates General in Houston, Chicago, New York, Los Angeles and Bostonaccording to states in the country. The States that fall under the responsibility of the Consular Section of the Embassy are District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia.
Turkey also has Honorary Consuls in Baltimore, San Francisco, Atlanta, Seattle, Flowood, Kansas and Detroit.
Our focus is on public education and advocacy programs that support Turkish American civic empowerment and strong United States – Turkey relations. TASC includes Turkish American Community leaders, many of whom are also leaders in other Turkish American organizations.
Individual and group participation in TASC is voluntary. TASC decisions do not bind other organizations in which TASC officers and directors may be active, unless such organizations agree to participate in a TASC program.
TASC’s mission is to promote and amplify a united Turkish American voice on issues that affect the Turkish American community and United States-Turkish relations. TASC pools the resources of participating organizations for the common interests of the community. TASC coordinates the complementary capabilities of participating organizations.
TASC’s vision of Turkish American civic empowerment is based on solidarity within diversity, and open collaboration among community leaders and volunteers in support of your common goals and interests.
TCA is a fully independent 501(c)(3) public charitable organization that receives no funding from either the U.S. or Turkish government. It is funded entirely by Turkish Americans who believe in a strong U.S.-Turkey relationship and who are proud of their Turkish heritage and by others who share these ideals. TCA is not affiliated with any other organization.
The Atatürk Society of America (ASA) is an independent non-profit organization founded 1995 in Washington DC, with the objective of promoting the ideals of Atatürk’s political legacy.
ASA understands Atatürk’s political philosophy to be:
-Sovereignty belongs to the people.
-People alone administer people.
-Public sovereignty cannot be shared with any other authority, including religious authority.
-Secular education ensures public sovereignty and rationality in politics.
-For progress, science and reason must supersede superstition and dogma.
-Contemporary civilization is the common heritage of humankind.
-Peace at home and peace in the world assures the universality of civilization.
Towards this objective the ASA organizes scholarly lectures, provides research fellowships, develops a resource and reference center, and makes presentations regarding the importance of Atatürk’s political philosophy for international prosperity and peace.
Turkic American Alliance (TAA) has been initiated for better coordination of join efforts among more than 200 organizations all around the U.S. In that way, a new enterprise was established in Washington D.C on May 12, 2010 with the Grand Gala Opening Reception at the Williard InterContinental hotel near to the White House, Turkic American Alliance, which will enhance the work of regional federations and councils of the Turkic-American organizations. More than 50 US Representatives, 7 US Senators and several Ambassadors alongside of the members of Turkic American Community have given a start up to the works of Turkic American Alliance at this wonderful Reception. Turkic American Alliance’s new headquarters is located in Washington D.C. with a beautiful view of the US Capitol Hill.
Turkic American Alliance is a non-government, not-for-profit organization established under the 501(c) 3 laws within the United States with the sole purpose of promoting cultural understanding. The Alliance is established as a broader umbrella organization for federations, councils and similar entities which bear the qualities and share the objectives of establishing closer relations with the Turkic American community and the community at large and also with the members of other ethnic communities in the United States.
The American Turkish Association of Washington, DC (ATA-DC) is a 501(c)(3), non-profit, all-volunteer organization, which was founded in 1965. ATA-DC is not affiliated with any government, political party or group.
