Celebrate America’s upcoming 250th birthday with us at the Great American State Fair for an afternoon full of food, fellowship, fun and a little patriotic adventure in Washington, DC! We’ll spend the day exploring everything that makes America unique from regional foods and local products to attractions, traditions, history and hidden gems from across the country. Whether you’re excited about trying new foods, learning fun facts, browsing vendors or simply enjoying time together in community, there will be something for everyone to enjoy. Expect great conversations, lots of laughter, and plenty of opportunities to connect as we wander through the fair together soaking in all the sights, sounds and flavors celebrating the spirit of America. Bring your picnic blankets and chairs so we can relax together throughout the day, enjoy the atmosphere and make the most of this one-of-a-kind experience. Hosted by the HU MOVEMAKERS and the Alumni Host Committee The 4th Annual Howard Homecoming Blaque Mecca Block Party, presented by D’USSÉ Cognac, is the ultimate outdoor tailgate and block party experience—taking place before, during, and after the football game. This vibrant celebration will bring together Howard and Morgan State alumni and friends from across the country for an unforgettable afternoon of music, cocktails, food, and culture. Guests will enjoy six DJs spinning the best in Hip Hop and RnB, signature D’USSÉ cocktails and brand activations, a variety of food trucks, games, and a live viewing of the football game. Last year’s event drew more than 15,000 RSVPs and 3,000 attendees and this year promises to be even bigger. Tickets are expected to sell out quickly, so secure yours today. CAPACITY: All cabana/table parties must arrive together and within an hour of their table/cabana reservation time. This is to avoid log jam and entry delays. Must be 21. TABLE/CABANA TIME: There are three time blocks for table and cabana reservations; 12p-6p and 6p-12a. Please make sure someone in your party is seated in your section at all times as there will not be anyone designated to monitor your section. All parties must arrive together. IN ADDITION TO THE TABLE FEE, EACH SECTION ALSO HAS A MINIMUM SPEND. FOOD/DRINKS: There will be food trucks available as well as drink servers/bartenders. There are no minimum spends for sections.
