Founded in 1988 by alumni of the Saigon University School of Medicine, Vietnamese American Medical Professionals has grown from 49 founding members into a thriving community of healthcare practitioners serving Oakland, FL and beyond. The organization emerged from a shared vision among Vietnamese physicians who sought meaningful professional fellowship and cultural connection within the American healthcare system. Over three decades, VAMP has evolved to welcome all medical professionals of Vietnamese descent, regardless of specialty, while also valuing non-Vietnamese honorary members who appreciate Vietnamese culture and traditions. The association remains committed to its core mission: promoting mutual support and fellowship among members, advancing excellence in medical science, supporting education and charitable activities within the Vietnamese community, and developing the next generation of organizational leaders. Through annual galas, community health initiatives, and ongoing professional gatherings, VAMP creates spaces where healthcare professionals can bond, collaborate, and collectively serve the Oakland, FL community. The organization's evolution reflects its commitment to inclusivity and professional growth, welcoming practitioners from diverse backgrounds and specialties who share a dedication to healthcare excellence and community wellness.
