Founded in 2008 by former Miami Beach Mayor Matti Bower as an initiative of the Miami Beach Gay Business Development Council, Miami Beach Pride has grown into a cornerstone cultural institution serving the Miami Beach, FL community. The organization brings together members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community alongside their friends, allies, and supporters in authentic celebration of shared values and cultural identity. Miami Beach Pride's mission centers on envisioning, planning, and executing events and activities as diverse as the community itself, with programming that spans entertainment, arts, culture, and civic engagement. With support from the City of Miami Beach, Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs, and the Cultural Affairs Council, Miami Beach Pride demonstrates deep community partnership and commitment.
