Founded by a group of high-achieving female financial planning professionals from across the country, the Women's Leadership Alliance represents a transformative movement in the financial services industry. Operating from St. Petersburg, Florida, the WLA is a mission-driven 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to changing the conversation about women's roles in financial advisory services and building an empowered, diverse community of changemakers.
At its heart, the WLA is built on four core values: empowerment, community, diversity, and collaboration. The organization believes that when women are provided with access, opportunity, and meaningful support, they don't just succeed—they thrive and lead. The WLA envisions a transformed financial advising industry where women comprise equitable representation at every level, recognizing that progress has been too slow and that positive change requires collective action and partnership.
The organization unites passionate advocates, financial professionals, entrepreneurs, educators, students, and allies who share a commitment to equity and inclusion. Rather than simply discussing industry challenges, the WLA is actively making change happen through advocacy, engagement, and collaborative initiatives. The community understands that representation matters profoundly—you cannot become what you cannot see—and works tirelessly to ensure that women have visibility, mentorship, and pathways to success in financial advising. For women seeking purpose, flexibility, and long-term impact in their careers, the WLA reveals what many consider one of the best-kept secrets in the industry: financial advising offers exceptional potential and fulfillment.
