YASMEEN A. LEWIS focuses her practice on representing victims of catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death resulting from motor vehicle crashes, medical malpractice, premises liability and products liability. She joined the firm as an Associate in November 2018.
As a Bright Futures scholar, Ms. Lewis earned her B.S. degree in economics from Florida State University while clerking for two summers in Searcy Denney’s Tallahassee office. She was awarded an academic scholarship to Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University College of Law, where she was a member of the Phi Alpha Delta legal fraternity and was appointed to the executive board of the Women’s Law Caucus as the representative of the Florida Association for Women’s Lawyers.
Admitted to practice in the State of Florida, Ms. Lewis is a member of the Palm Beach County Justice Association, the Florida Justice Association, the Florida Association for Women Lawyers, the American Association for Justice, the F. Malcolm Cunningham, Sr. Bar Association, the Virgil Hawkins Florida Chapter National Bar Association, and the National Bar Association.
Ms. Lewis is a native Floridian who shares the firm’s commitment to homegrown philanthropy, a passion she developed early in her undergraduate career when she mentored children in underserved communities outside of Tallahassee. In law school, she organized several of her classmates and founded a tutoring and mentoring program at a local high school. She continues to volunteer her time to work with communities throughout South Florida.
