Launched in 2025 during the Center’s 50th anniversary and in celebration of Black History Month, this event was curated by artist in residence, Daniel Washington. It pays homage to venues like Sir John’s Knight Beat and others on the Chitlin' Circuit—vital spaces for Black musicians during Jim Crow segregation, when mainstream venues excluded them. These clubs served as cultural havens where legends like Art Blakey, Miles Davis, Billie Holiday, and others shaped jazz’s legacy, performing for passionate audiences in Miami’s vibrant cultural scene.
In honor of Black History Month, Fashion meets Art Walk Wilton Manors joins forces with Black Excellence Designers.
Enjoy live entertainment, Open Bar with RSVP, and a Free Runway Show of Artistic Clothing created by Black and Brown Designers.

The event brings area artists and craftspeople together with the Wilton Manors community on the sidewalks of beautiful Wilton Drive and Dixie Village, Wilton Manors budding new Art District (5 Galleries, 2 Gay Theaters, +More) on Dixie Highway between NE 23rd Dr. and NE 24th Street.
