Attorney Anita M. Lamar Esq. is an experienced female attorney who specializes in the areas of Personal Injury. She has a strong commitment to keeping her clients informed, and a proven track record of generating momentum in cases to ensure they get the outcome they deserve. In her career, Anita remains a thriving black female attorney handling hundreds of personal injury claims for Georgians throughout the state.
Anita is a proud native of Atlanta, Georgia. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of West Georgia, where she was on a full scholarship as a member of UWG’s nationally ranked debate team, successfully competing against future lawyers from Ivy League schools and other elite academic institutions across the country.
After graduating from UWG, Anita obtained her Juris Doctorate from Oklahoma City University School of Law. Anita attended Oklahoma City University on a merit scholarship and received several academic awards during her time there. Anita was one of only a few black female attorneys in her class. She graduated in the top fourth of her class, and is currently licensed to practice in Georgia.
After practicing in Oklahoma, Anita returned home to better serve the community in which she was born and raised. Mrs. Lamar has served as the Vice President of Henry County Bar Association, and is an active member of the Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys (GABWA), the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association (GTLA), and the Gate City Bar Association. Anita is also a proud member of the National Bar Association, a predominantly African American Bar Association.
Mrs. Lamar enjoys being active in her community. Is an active member of the Tucker Business Association. She has served on the gala committee of the Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys, the proceeds of which are given as scholarships to inner city high school students for their higher education. Mrs. Lamar also volunteers with the Georgia Legal Services Program and the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation. In addition to her professional accolades, Mrs. Lamar enjoys giving back by volunteering with Meals on Wheels and Habitat for Humanity. When not working, Mrs. Lamar enjoys traveling, and spending time with her husband.

The Black Men's Mental Health Conference is a multi-city tour bringing awareness and education to mental health care for black men. On this tour, we will share stories, provide access to resources, and equip communities with the necessary tools to create systems of support to ensure that black men have the best access to mental healthcare. Our tour will feature events aimed to better understand the social determinants of mental health and the specific psychological issues facing black men through panel discussions, mental health experts, resources and more. We invite you to join us on our journey to celebrate and curate this important conversation around mental health in black communities, travel city to city, and work together to galvanize collective action to ensure a healthier future for generations of black men.
