We live in a divided world, and prayer is the force that brings us together. Prayer Nation Conference is a conference that reaches across demographic barriers of people and is focused on offering powerful life solutions to our communities. We are pursuing the goal that we should be a house of prayer for all nations! Prayer Nation Worldwide focuses on The Prayer Experience, Training and Impartation, and The PNW Solutions Marketplace.
The annual Christian Century lecture and reception with speaker Randall Balmer
The push to anoint the United States as a “Christian nation” distorts history and ignores America’s best idea for ensuring a vibrant and healthy religious culture: the First Amendment. Current attempts to level the historic wall of separation between church and state not only threaten the nation’s political stability but also compromise the “free marketplace” of religion guaranteed by the First Amendment.
Dr. Randall Balmer, who has authored more than a dozen books on America’s religious history, holds the John Phillips Chair in Religion at Dartmouth College.
Lecture and reception with wine and dessert bar.

PFLAG Oak Park Area represents Parents, Family and Friends of Lesbians and Gays—a compassionate community organization rooted in Oak Park, IL that has been making a difference in the lives of LGBTQ+ individuals and their loved ones. Founded on principles of acceptance, understanding, and mutual support, this 501(c)(3) non-profit brings together families and friends who share a commitment to celebrating and protecting the dignity of all people.
What sets PFLAG Oak Park Area apart is its dual approach to creating positive change. The organization recognizes that meaningful progress requires both personal connection and systemic advocacy. Members gather monthly on the fourth Sunday at 3 p.m. at First United Church (848 Lake St.) to build relationships, share stories, and find strength in community. These intimate gatherings create safe spaces where families can process their experiences and find belonging.
Simultaneously, PFLAG Oak Park Area works to transform broader systems through direct engagement with policymakers, educator training initiatives, and public speaking programs that educate and inspire. The organization's letter campaigns amplify the voices of Oak Park residents advocating for LGBTQ+ rights and protections.
As part of the national PFLAG network, the Oak Park chapter combines local community knowledge with national resources and best practices.
