Impact100 Southern Indiana
Impact100 Southern Indiana represents a powerful movement of women united by a shared vision to strengthen their community. Since its evolution from the Women's Foundation of Southern Indiana in 2017, the organization has brought together diverse women—of all ages, life stages, and backgrounds—to award transformational grants that make a real difference in New Albany and surrounding counties in Indiana. What began as a 2007 initiative by Hazel Bales and passionate community members has grown into a dynamic philanthropic force that recognizes and activates women's potential as change-makers.
The organization's journey reflects a commitment to expanding women's role in philanthropy and activism. When founder Wendy Steele's vision of empowering women to see themselves as grant-funding activists aligned with the foundation's goals, Impact100 Southern Indiana was born. Based in New Albany, Impact100 Southern Indiana embodies the belief that when women come together with shared purpose and resources, they can create meaningful, lasting change in their community.
