I believe in providing legal services with a personal touch. While I only have one office located in New Orleans, I provide client services throughout Southern Louisiana, from Lafayette to the Northshore, and I have no problem traveling the extra mile to meet with clients who cannot travel to me.
Each client is different and so are their legal matters. I give all of my cases and clients individualized attention. Each year I take continuing education courses with an emphasis on Family Law and Bankruptcy, in order to stay abreast of the changes in the law. I chose to practice in the areas of Family Law and Bankruptcy because the issues that individuals and families face in these areas can impact the rest of their lives, and because I feel that it is important that they receive reasonable, compassionate legal services when faced with those issues. I have always wanted to do what I can to help others. Being an attorney allows me to achieve that goal.
MISSION: OPD’s mission is to fight for our clients by providing excellent client-centered representation, reforming the system and partnering with the community.
Each year, thousands of men, women, and children come in contact with the criminal legal system in New Orleans. Not able to afford an attorney, 85-90% are appointed a public defender.
We represent nearly 20,000 people each year utilizing a client-centered, community-oriented defense model that puts the client first and takes a 360 degree approach to our advocacy and representation. We recognize our clients are unique individuals and work to address their needs both in the court and out.
Our diverse staff includes adult and juvenile attorneys; social workers; client, youth and parent advocates; investigators and administrators all working together for equal justice for our clients, their families, our community and a better New Orleans.
In short, we protect innocence, defend the constitution, demand justice, and hold power accountable.
