Founded in 2006, the organization emerged from a commitment to create a unified arena where Iranian women—both inside Iran and throughout the diaspora—could be heard and supported in their struggle for equal rights. The Alliance embodies the resilience of Iranian women who have steadfastly resisted oppression despite facing gender apartheid and systematic abuse. Their mission centers on bringing Iranian women's voices to Western democracies, fostering solidarity among women across borders, and calling for the separation of politics from women's and children's rights advocacy.
