Join us for a fun Latin Street Party downtown Silver Spring, MD, featuring Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, , with good music and good vibes. Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month! Come and join us, in the great outdoors, at the Downtown Silver Spring Plaza (by the old fountain, by the colorful stairs), as we celebrate the Hispanic Heritage Month with Latin Rythms, dancing to salsa, bachata, and merengue! There will also be vendors providing related services and products. Our Latin Street Parties are l a perfect spot and opportunity to meet fellow dance lovers, learn how to dance, brush up on your latin dance skills or just chill and enjoy the vibe with the community. Whether you're a beginner or a pro, everyone’s welcome! What to expect: Dance Lessons: Bachata, Salsa and Merengue (ALL LEVELS) Zumba 2+ hours: Latin Social Dancing Vendor opportunities available. The Latin Street Party provides the perfect opportunity to meet new people, connect with old friends and have fun dancing bachata in a relaxed, family friendly atmosphere. With that said, grab your dancing shoes and get ready for a fun, friendly, and totally relaxed atmosphere. 35th Anniversary Celebration of Ukrainian Independence
Celebrating 35 years of Ukrainian independence and democracy with prayer, singing, dancing, historical tours and food Come join us at the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church on August 30th as we celebrate 35 years of Ukrainian independence and democracy. We will have performances by the Ukrainian Children’s Ensemble “Sribni Dzvinochky” (Silver Bells) and the Adult Ensemble “Sribni Dzherela” (Silver Springs). Learn more about Ukrainian culture and history through tours of our wooden church, built without a single nail in line with traditional Ukrainian church architecture. Enjoy Ukrainian food and play Kozak sport games. Fun for all ages!
