The Turkish American Cultural Society of New England, Inc (TACS), founded in 1964, is a non-profit, charitable, grass-root organization whose primary goals are to promote Turkish culture and heritage; to bring together the people of Turkish heritage and friends of Turkey for promoting Turkish history, culture, and related issues; to assist people of Turkish origin in solving various community and personal problems; to welcome and assist permanent residents, visitors, and students arriving from Turkey. In order to meet these goals TACS organizes conferences, seminars, concerts, exhibitions, as well as educational programs on Turkish culture.
