The Women's Council of Greater Detroit is a local chapter in the Women's Council of The National Association of Real Estate Brokers, Inc.(NAREB®). Our mission is focused on the housing and socio-economic concerns of unserved and underserved communities. We provide financial literacy, community advocacy and generational wealth building though homeownership. We further evaluate the standards of women and men in the real estate industry by encouraging leadership, collaboration, education and the exchange of information through group learning techniques and networking. We encourage and support other organizations that are on the same path and therefore strongly welcome collaboration; hence our current theme, "Successful Women Don't Compete, They Collaborate".
Greater Detroit REALTIST® Association (GDRA) is a newer chapter of NAREB®. Our founders paved the way for GDRA to receive its charter in February, 2015 at the 67th Annual MidWinter Convention, in Tampa, Florida.
The Greater Detroit REALTIST® Association (GDRA) is a Trade Association whose mission is to build a supportive infrastructure to become a positive and dominate influence in the Michigan real estate market. We represent a unified voice for African Americans and other undeserved populations, brokers, agents, affiliates and the clients we serve. Our mantra is “Democracy in Housing!”
