Deputy Director of Financial Services
Here’s what you can expect to do:
This position will serve as the operations manager for the department, working to improve delivery of core financial services, and support OFS staff recruitment, development, and retention.
The supervision of 20 FTEs responsible for accounting, ERP finance system management, and citywide grants management.
In the Director’s absence, the Deputy Director represents the department in meetings with City staff, Council Members, and external partners.
Other key responsibilities include supporting the annual financial reporting and audit process, overseeing the departmental budget and month-end close activities, managing electronic payment processes, and assisting with implementation of the department’s strategic plan.

Position Requirements
A bachelor's degree and seven years of experience managing financial programs or systems. Four years of the required experience must include supervising employees, conducting assessments of complex organizational issues, planning organizational strategies, or leading complex projects.
NOTE: A master’s degree can substitute for two years of experience.
A combination of education and experience to equal eleven (11) years or more can be used to qualify for the position.
