Sons of Norway began with shared values and the simple promise of financial security. Like minded people coming together to protect their families, celebrate their culture and strengthen their communities.
Sons of Norway is a fraternal life insurance company devoted to supporting you through every stage of life, while providing opportunities for a vibrant social experience around Norwegian culture.
As a Sons of Norway member, you can reconnect with your heritage, learn about modern Norway, build a strong financial foundation and participate in philanthropic endeavors that make a positive impact in your community.
The purposes and goals of the Founders were to protect members of Sons of Norway and their families from the financial hardships experienced during times of sickness or death in the family. Over time, the mission of Sons of Norway has expanded to include the preservation of Norwegian heritage and culture in our Society. We have grown since our beginning and are now the largest Norwegian organization outside Norway.

Viking Age Club and Society of the Sons of Norway
The Viking Age Club began in 1985, when Dennis Rusinko and Gary Anderson decided a group was needed that would portray the Vikings authentically. No horns on helmets, no bear-skins (or not many), and where demonstration of Viking crafts and skills would be as important (or more important) than weapons and fighting.
Since that time, the Viking Age Club has been giving lectures and demonstrations at schools, festivals, and celebrations throughout the United States, Canada and Norway.
The Viking Age Club & Society is a sought-after resource for schools and communities across America.
We are a club dedicated to educating the public about life in the Viking age by demonstrating Viking crafts and Live-steel Combat.
