NYOP is registered with the State of New York, Department of State under Section 402 of the Not-for-profit Corporation Law in 2013 and also having Tax Exemption status with Internal Revenue Service (IRS) under section 501(C)(3).
Our main operations are to organize Youth Education Programs, language programs, interfaith dialogues, and cultural integration programs. Our language programs help Pakistani immigrants get comfortable with speaking English; for example, NYOP created a program for women who found it difficult to speak the English language. They were tutored by the organization’s members in preparation for their citizenship exam. Our interfaith dialogue is an interaction between different religions residing in the same community to produce a positive conversation. Our purpose is to get young people involved in their communities and help immigrant families stay connected to their heritage.
