The Consulate General of Türkiye in New York is one of the six Turkish consular missions in the USA. Other Turkish Consulates are located in Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, Boston and Miami.
Since its inception as the first consular representation of the Republic of Türkiye in the USA back in 1925, our Consulate General implemented its consular services and diplomatic duties throughout a jurisdiction area covering the East Coast. Currently our jurisdiction covers the states of New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware.
Our Consulate General also incorporates the New York Offices of the Educational Attaché, the Culture and Tourism Attaché , the Commercial Attaché, the Economy Attaché, the Attaché for Social and Religious Affairs and the Counselor for Medical Cooperation.

The Republic of Türkiye is one of the founding members of the United Nations and has become a party to UN Charter on 28 September 1945.
Permanent Mission of Türkiye to the UN started its activities after the Permanent Representative Ambassador H.E. Mr. Selim Sarper presented his letter of credence to the UN Secretary-General on 15 August 1947.
Federation of Turkish American Associations, Inc. is a non-profit organization which was established in 1956 for the purpose of uniting and supporting the Turkish community within the United States, it has successfully established a bond between the Turkish and the American communities. The Federation has evolved with the changing times and has expanded in size, membership and purpose.
The Federation today consists of over 40 member associations organizations with a majority of these groups located in the Northeast region of the United States. Member organizations consists of associations of different ethnic, technical, and social backgrounds including the Turkic nations (eg. Azeris, Uzbek, Karacays, doctors, and engineers). Each association serves to support its own members through various functions and events. The Federation operates as a conduit within the network of member organizations.
One of the main aims is to provide maximum exposure of Turkish Culture, Folklore, Literature, Music, History, and overall knowledge of Turkey to the United States public. This is achieved through cultural activities and public relation activities throughout the United States such as a Turkish Parade. The organization also promotes business relations between Turkish and non-Turkish companies that wish to conduct business with the Turkish community within the United States or abroad. The Federation, in its journey to unite the Turkish-American community, has expanded to a worldwide level.
