This Kirkus-starred picture book follows an Iranian boy and his grandmother as they weave a new rug together. Through this process, the grandmother teaches the boy not to focus on perfection -- even going as far pulling a deliberate knot in their work. Since its founding in 1986, the Iranian Zoroastrian Association has served as a vital bridge connecting Iranian-American communities across the Northeast, with roots firmly established in Suffern, NY.
