For the woman who has carried so much for so long—it's time to be poured into. Realign. Reposition. Reset. Rise. Let's elevate with purpose.
The past two years have been heavy, it's been weighty. So many women have been surviving but not flowing like we know we could.
The Heart of A Woman RISE Conference was created for the woman who is ready to grow in confidence, embrace her total being, and come home to herself in a deeper way. This experience is about helping & supporting women recognize the fullness of who they are — gifted, talented, intelligent, beautiful from the inside out, and created with purpose, vision, strength, and influence.
We believe that when women are nurtured, they nurture the world. When a woman is poured into, strengthened, and reminded of her worth, she does not rise alone — she carries healing, wisdom, creativity, and possibility back into her family, her business, her community, and every room she enters.
This is for the woman who has spent years pouring into everyone else and now needs a space where she can be poured into with intention. It is for the woman who has had to hold her head up after being denied, overlooked, misunderstood, judged, betrayed, dismissed, or pushed aside — yet still carries dignity, purpose, and a desire to keep going.
Heart of A Woman is more than a conference name; it is a calling to create a safe, viable, and life-giving community where women can be seen, heard, strengthened, and supported. It is a place for the woman who is looking for people who will hold up her arms so she can finish her race with grace, strength, clarity, and dignity.
This is where confidence is restored. This is where wholeness is honored. This is where strength is renewed. This is where community holds you up. This is where women rise.

Please join us at 2151 Hawkins Street in Charlotte for North Carolina’s 4th annual Black Women in Architecture Brunch. Attendance is open to all Black women in the AEC industry (of course!), as well as their supporters and allies. Enjoy a delicious brunch, in-person networking, and a nationally broadcast virtual presentation from our counterparts in Washington D.C. (11:30 am -2:00 pm). These open festivities will be followed by a closed session for Black female architecture professionals to get to know each other and share their unique experiences (2:00-3:30 pm).
Proceeds from this event contribute to the BWA Network and NCNOMA 2027 ARE Scholarships.
NCNOMA's goal is to create local access for BIPOC practitioners to get licensed where it does not otherwise exist. The NCNOMA ARE Scholarship will recognize the contributions of emerging North Carolina professionals in their careers and defray the costs associated with the Architect Registration Examination (ARE). Scholarship recipients will receive funds to cover the cost of the ARE and study materials to prepare for testing.
The Black Women in Architecture Network is a resource clearinghouse for the over 500 US licensed Black women architects, those aspiring to be architects, and other women in design, planning, and allied professions in the US and around the world.
