Join us for the official launch of Ushering Hope, a Charlotte-based nonprofit committed to empowering young ladies of color to heal, rise, lead, and create brighter futures. This special evening is more than a celebration—it marks the beginning of a community-driven movement. Guests will gather to learn about the mission of Ushering Hope, hear the story and vision behind the organization, and discover how we can work together to invest in the next generation of young women. Ushering Hope creates safe, culturally affirming spaces where young women of color can build confidence, strengthen their leadership skills, access meaningful opportunities, and prepare for successful futures. Our Areas of Impact Ushering Hope equips young women through: Financial literacy Mental health awareness Civic engagement Workforce development College and career readiness Identity and purpose Mentorship and leadership development Healing-centered education What Guests Can Expect During the evening, guests will have the opportunity to: Hear the story behind Ushering Hope Learn about the organization’s mission and future programming Connect with community leaders, educators, nonprofit partners, business professionals, faith leaders, families, and supporters Celebrate the young women and community members who inspired this work Explore opportunities to volunteer, mentor, advocate, partner, sponsor, and give The launch is expected to bring together approximately 100 community leaders, professionals, and supporters as Ushering Hope enters a more structured, scalable, and community-supported chapter. This celebration is open to: Community leaders, educators, nonprofit professionals, corporate and small-business representatives, faith leaders, elected officials, mentors, families, advocates, donors, and anyone who believes in creating meaningful opportunities for young women of color. Come out and join the fun with a 5K walk/run! Our mission is to create a loving community by building spiritual and physical strength. Get Ready for the Uplift Rocky River Community 5K Run/Walk! Come out and join the fun with a 5K walk/run! All proceeds will be donated to the Uplift Christian Ministries Food Pantry. Mark your calendars for September 7th at 9:00 AM, and get ready for a morning of faith, fitness, and fun! Our mission is to uplift Christ by building a loving community of children, teenagers, and adults who come together through Christian teamwork to strengthen both body and spirit. The event will kick off at 2900 Rocky River Road - Shelter 2, with registration at 8:30 AM, followed by the 1-mile Fun Run for kids (ages 5-11) at 9 AM, and then the main 5K walk/run for adults. In addition, during the race, we’ll have a kids’ fun zone to keep the little ones entertained. We can’t wait to see you there and come together in faith and fitness!
