Donyetta Bailey is a labor and employment, family law, and civil litigation attorney with 23 years of experience. She is the former President of the Black Lawyers Association of Cincinnati and a former member of the Board of Trustees for the Cincinnati Bar Association, the River City Correctional Center and the African American Chamber of Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. Her employment law practice involves various race, gender, and disability discrimination claims under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, Americnans with Dsiabilties Act (ADA), and the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA). She also handles claims for minimum wage and overtime pay under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and Ohio Workers' Compensaiton Act claims. Ms. Bailey also handles family law and general civil litigation matters including custody and visitation, child support, personal injury, wrongful death, product liability, breach of contract and various business tort claims including fraud, anti-trust and unfair competition.
Dr. Brian Barney grew up in South Holland, Illinois, a southern suburb of Chicago, with his parents and older brother. He played several different sports in his childhood but eventually settled on track & field as his main sport throughout high school. He then attended the University of Cincinnati, where he ran the 800 meters for the men’s track & field team and studied for his Bachelors of Science in Health Sciences. While he was a student at UC, Brian had the opportunity to work as a research assistant on research projects related to high intensity interval training for post-stroke patients. He served in several leadership roles as an undergraduate student, culminating in him receiving UC’s Presidential Leadership Medal of Excellence upon his graduation in 2015.
After finishing his undergraduate degree, Dr. Barney attended the University of Kentucky to complete his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. Dr. Barney’s doctoral research project was: “The Effectiveness of Nonoperative vs. Operative Treatment for Adult Athletic Pubalgia: A Systematic Review”. Brian also completed an internship at Shriner’s Hospital in Lexington, KY, where he performed walking gait analysis on children with cerebral palsy. He graduated from UK in 2018, and has worked in various settings including acute care, outpatient orthopedics, and home health.
Brian also serves as an assistant coach for the William Mason High School boys’ cross country and track & field teams, where he primarily works with distance runners. Mason High School cross country is perennial contender for OHSAA state championships and have won the last two championships in 2021 and 2022.
Dr. Barney specializes in treating runners, youth athletes, everyday active adults, and older adults with multiple health issues. Brian emphasizes building strong relationships with his patients and enjoys the challenge of personalizing each patient’s care to their goals and needs.
