Founded in 2016 during the National Congress of Black Women's 32nd Annual Awards Brunch, the Greater Cleveland Chapter has grown into a vibrant community organization serving Garfield Heights and the broader Cleveland, OH area. The chapter's vision centers on creating a community where all Black females are nurtured and empowered to dedicate their time, talents, and resources to ensuring representation at decision-making tables and meaningful participation in conversations addressing issues impacting Black women, their families, and communities. What distinguishes this organization is its multi-generational approach to empowerment, including the Youth Division serving girls ages 12-18 and the Shirley Chisholm Girls Club mentoring young ladies ages 10-17 in academics, civic engagement, and leadership.
