Her deep Texas roots shine through her storytelling, capturing the spirit and rhythms of the state in all her acclaimed novels: Calling My Name, All the Things We Never Knew, and What She Missed. Before becoming a writer, she attended Harvard Law School and worked as a marketing coordinator for the Houston Rockets and Comets, television production assistant, home accessories designer, floral designer, and yoga and dance teacher. Join us May 3rd to celebrate Black Authors day! Alt Darling and GG Dallas are hosting an intimate book fair to introduce you to Black authors and their works with light games and activities donated by said authors!

Please welcome Nia Sioux to celebrate Bottom of the Pyramid! This event is ticketed. Start time: 6:00 P.M. Run time: The exact time at which the event ends will be determined on the day. To avoid disappointment, we strongly advise you to arrive on time for the event. Late arrivals may not have the opportunity to meet the author. Location: The third floor of BookPeople. The author will be signing and personalizing copies of the book. In order to get a book signed, you must have purchased a ticket (which includes a copy of the book). If you buy a ticket and are unable to attend: We will hold your book at BookPeople for 30 days after the event. We cannot guarantee that your book will be signed. While we do our best to try and get all event books signed, priority is given to event attendees and any extra stock is dependent on the author’s availability. Guidelines: Ticket-holders will be checked in starting at 5:30 P.M. Please have a copy of your ticket available (either printed out or on your phone) for check in. Line placement will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Outside queuing may be required. Please check the weather forecast ahead of time and plan accordingly.
