Recognizing the women whose stories inspire change and open doors for others
The Tribute to Hispanic Women 2026, hosted by Emprendiendo con Pasión, is a signature annual celebration honoring Latina leaders whose work, resilience, and leadership are shaping the future of our communities.
Now in its 18th year, this prestigious event will take place exclusively in Houston, bringing together professionals, entrepreneurs, executives, educators, and community advocates for a powerful morning of recognition, inspiration, and meaningful connection.
This year, we proudly honor Dr. Marlen J. Trujillo, PhD, MBA, CHW, Chief Executive Officer of Spring Branch Community Health Center, as Woman of the Year 2026. Her leadership in public health and her commitment to equity and community well-being exemplify the spirit of Latina excellence this tribute celebrates.
What to Expect:
A dynamic Power Forum for Young Latinas, featuring insights from past honorees and leaders.
A formal Award Luncheon & Ceremony, recognizing the Woman of the Year and outstanding Latina leaders.
High-level networking opportunities with influential voices and rising talent across Houston.
A professional and welcoming environment designed to celebrate achievement, purpose, and impact.
Media professionals and influencers are invited to attend. Media kits, interviews with honorees, and special access are available upon request.
Join us in honoring the women whose leadership inspires progress, opens doors, and creates lasting impact across generations.
Family-friendly cultural event celebrating Dominican Independence with coffee, food, and Domino tournament.
Dominican Republic Independence Day Party — Austin, TX
Join us to celebrate Dominican Independence Day at Comunidad Specialty Coffee & Cold Press Juice, a Dominican-owned, family-run coffee shop in East Austin built on comunidad, cultura, and good coffee. There’s no better place to celebrate independence than a space created by and for the community.
This is a family-friendly celebration. Pull up for Dominican coffee all day, breakfast sandwiches in the morning, sancocho served in the afternoon, and a domino tournament, bringing everyone together. Expect good vibes, people catching up, dominoes clicking, and culture front and center.
The domino tournament will run from 12pm-5pm, so if you want to participate, make sure you arrive before 12pm to sign up. Spots are limited. The winner will receive a Comunidad gift card, a Greca y más.
This event is about celebrating independence the Dominican way — en coro, with food, coffee, and community.
