Overview
Earth, water, fire, air, and space — the five great elements, brought to life through everything you can smell, taste, see, touch, and hear.
Join SAIVA on Saturday, November 14, from 1 to 4 PM for Panchabhootam, a free multi-sensory festival at The Domain’s Amy Donovan Plaza. Across one afternoon, each element comes alive through a different sense: earth through smell, water through taste, fire through sight, air through touch, and space through sound.
This is the culmination of months of weekly art and singing classes, where Austin’s elders and youth have created side by side since the spring. What you’ll experience is theirs — the installations, the performances, the shared tables.
At SAIVA, we believe every generation has something to give and something to learn. So bring your grandmother, your kids, your college roommate, and your neighbors. This is a day meant to be experienced together.
What to expect
The plaza becomes a journey through the five elements, with hands-on activities, performances, and food along the way:
Experience the five elements through sight, sound, scent, taste, and touch
Dance and music performances
Seed-ball creation, art, and fermentation activities
A community market
Food for purchase
Family activities for all ages
How it works
Just come and wander. Move through the element zones at your own pace, try the hands-on activities, watch the performances, taste something new, and take home something you made. There’s no schedule to keep — the whole afternoon is yours to explore.

Turkish Coffee & Fortune Telling Workshop Experience
In Türkiye, we have a saying:

For $18, enjoy authentic Turkish coffee served with Turkish delight (lokum) and a few traditional treats.
As part of the workshop experience, you'll learn how to read Turkish coffee grounds and discover the stories hiding inside your cup.
