For over two decades, Oblate School of Theology has opened its doors to Christians of all denominations for a powerful evening of worship and unity. This annual Christian Unity Service, hosted during San Antonio’s DreamWeek, brings together believers from across traditions to walk together in faith, celebrate our shared hope, and break down the walls that divide us.
Organized by the Sankofa Institute for African American Pastoral Leadership, the 2026 service draws inspiration from the Apostle Paul’s words to the Ephesians, affirming that we are one body, united by one Spirit. This year’s gathering will also recognize the enduring commitment to education in the Black community, lifting up voices of hope, praise, and perseverance.
Join us for an evening of ecumenical worship, prayer, and music, as we celebrate what unites us in Christ and recommit ourselves to the work of unity and justice. The service is free and open to the public, with a reception to follow at the Benson Theological Center Lounge.
Based in San Antonio, Texas, the Catholic Physicians Guild of San Antonio embodies a unique mission: to unite healthcare professionals around shared Catholic values and create a community dedicated to healing rooted in faith. This association welcomes not only physicians but dentists, nurses, pharmacists, therapists, and all healthcare professionals—including students preparing for careers in medicine and related fields—who seek to practice their profession through a fully Catholic perspective. The Guild's vision centers on being Christ to a world in need of healing, bringing together members for fellowship, spiritual growth, and collaborative service. Supported by the Archdiocese of San Antonio, the organization provides formation and education that help healthcare providers navigate the intersection of faith and medicine, addressing complex ethical issues while maintaining fidelity to Catholic teaching. The Guild demonstrates its commitment to the San Antonio community through active participation in health fairs, support for mission work, and advocacy for pro-life initiatives. Members gather regularly for Mass and meetings that foster mutual support, allowing healthcare professionals to strengthen their faith while advancing their careers. By creating a network of Catholic healthcare providers in San Antonio, the Guild offers something increasingly rare: a professional community where spiritual values, ethical practice, and compassionate care are not separate from medicine but central to it. The organization serves as a beacon for those seeking to practice healthcare with both professional excellence and deep religious conviction.
