AUSTIN,TX-Tourists and locals can find handcrafted souvenirs at the Artisan Mercado, a Latin American art and arts and craft market, at 506 Congress Ave. from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday and Monday, March 15 - 16.
At the Artisan Mercado, you can discover vividly colored creations made by 14 Latinx artists and artisans that live in Austin as well as indigenous arts and crafts sourced from Latin America. Shoppers can find handcrafted textiles, dresses, guayaberas, jewelry, dolls, headbands, handbags, keychains, paintings and ceramics, unique souvenirs that echo the deep roots of Texas grounded in Mexican tradition.
While shoppers browse at the art market, they can also enjoy live Latin music in the meeting rooms.
Space is limited so interested persons should make their reservation here for this event.

Dominican Republic Independence Day Party — Austin, TX
Join us to celebrate Dominican Independence Day at Comunidad Specialty Coffee & Cold Press Juice, a Dominican-owned, family-run coffee shop in East Austin built on comunidad, cultura, and good coffee. There’s no better place to celebrate independence than a space created by and for the community.
This is a family-friendly celebration. Pull up for Dominican coffee all day, breakfast sandwiches in the morning, sancocho served in the afternoon, and a domino tournament, bringing everyone together. Expect good vibes, people catching up, dominoes clicking, and culture front and center.
The domino tournament will run from 12pm-5pm, so if you want to participate, make sure you arrive before 12pm to sign up. Spots are limited. The winner will receive a Comunidad gift card, a Greca y más.
This event is about celebrating independence the Dominican way — en coro, with food, coffee, and community.
