Black Men’s Wellness Day is more than an event—it’s a movement dedicated to helping Black men and their families live longer, healthier lives. Founded in 2004 and now active in more than 20 cities nationwide, this free community experience connects attendees to lifesaving health screenings, wellness resources, fitness activities, and community support. The event features free comprehensive health screenings, a 5K walk/run, entertainment, a vendor marketplace, family activities, and opportunities to engage with local healthcare and community organizations. Through its "Clinic to Community" approach, the African American Male Wellness Agency is working to reduce health disparities and create a culture of prevention, wellness, and empowerment for generations to come.

Healing Together is a monthly coed group at The ALLICE Collective that brings Black men and women into conversation around life and relationships. Participants come together for open dialogue that builds understanding, encourages growth, and strengthens connections. Healing Together is about creating community across perspectives, where honesty and care make space for both reflection and renewal.

For Mental Health Awareness Month, we’re honoring rest as a form of reparations for Black women.
In this intimate 2.5‑hour gathering at Jesse’s House, you’ll step out of urgency and into a soft space curated for stillness, naps, and gentle connection. JC Jackson will guide you through a grounding sound‑bowl meditation, perform her spoken word piece “We Rest as Reparations,” and introduce her new journal of the same name, created to help you carry this softness home.
What’s included:
• Cozy rest space at Jessie’s House (bring your favorite blanket if you’d like)
• Guided grounding + sound bowl meditation to help your body downshift
• Extended nap / solo rest time so you have time to truly fall asleep if you need to
• A warm cup of restorative herbal tea from the journal’s “resting tea” recipe
• Live spoken word performance of JC Jackson’s poem “We Rest as Reparations”
• Conversation about rest as resistance and mental health for Black women

Looking for a space to slow down, stretch your body, and reconnect with yourself?
This activation of Groove & Glow is a free (as always), community-centered yoga and mindfulness experience designed for those who want to move with intention and ease into a softer pace. Join us on Sunday, May 3 for an afternoon of guided movement, reflection, and gentle connection.
We’ll begin with a guided yoga flow led by @planetdari, open to all levels, whether you’re brand new to yoga or returning to your mat. After the flow, the space will remain open for a post-session cool down with optional journaling prompts, light movement, and time to simply sit and be.
This space is created with Black queer women (trans and cis), trans men, and nonbinary people at the center. Allies are welcome, and we ask that you enter with care, awareness, and respect for the community this experience is intended to hold.
This experience is especially for those who want something more intentional than a typical outing. There is no pressure to perform, just space to exist in your body.
To maintain the integrity of the session, doors will close promptly at 1:00 PM. Please plan to arrive early to get settled.
