LGBT & Allied Lawyers of Utah represents a community of legal professionals united by a shared mission to promote and support the rights of LGBT people within the legal profession and throughout the state. For over fifty years, the Urban Indian Center of Salt Lake has served as a vital community resource for Native Americans navigating urban life in Salt Lake City, UT. Originally established as the Indian Walk-In Center in 1974, the organization transformed in 2012 to better address the emerging needs of American Indians and Alaska Natives engaged in circular migration to metropolitan areas. Today, UICSL stands as an interdependent community institution that honors the eight federally recognized tribes of Utah while serving members from neighboring states, recognizing that approximately 40,000 American Indian and Alaska Native residents now live off reservations in Utah alone.
