An afternoon of history, philosophy, and symbolism. Discover what women's Freemasonry offers, and why the door has been open all along.
You are invited to something a little different.
Whether you found us through a friend, through curiosity, or through something you can't quite name and feel drawn to Freemasonry, you're in the right place!
Emounah Lodge #34 invites you to join us for an open afternoon exploring Freemasonry through the lens of the Continental tradition, a centuries-old path that has long welcomed women as full and equal members. It's an invitation to curiosity.
What to expect
Over the course of the afternoon, we'll walk together through:
A brief history of Freemasonry, from the medieval stonemason guilds to the founding of the first speculative lodges and the diverse traditions that grew from those roots
The Continental tradition, its philosophy of Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity, and the philosophy and esoteric wisdom it draws from, including Hermeticism, Kabbalah, and the ancient mystery schools
The language of symbolism, a walkthrough of Masonic symbols like the Square and Compass, and Light and Darkness, and what they teach about living a considered life
What Freemasonry offers women today, a structured path of self-discovery, a community that takes your inner life seriously, and a sisterhood grounded in shared values
Open conversation and Q&A, with no question too basic or too bold, along with personal reflections from our members
Come as you are, with an open mind and an open heart. If you've ever felt the pull toward something deeper, something with roots, meaning, and genuine substance, we invite you join us.
Our light is always on.
