Scholarship fundraiser party with a purpose
Get ready to be part of something extraordinary at the Howard University Alumni Club of Richmond's Party with a Purpose fundraising event. It will be an event like no other, and we want you to be there! 🎉
Over the past 12 years, our club has raised over 90,000 in scholarships dollars supporting students from Central Virginia who aspire to attend Howard University. Our 14th Annual Scholarship Fundraiser — Stronger Together: The HBCU Blueprint aims to bring together Howard University alumni, HBCU alumni, family, friends, and the broader Central Virginia community for an evening of engagement, entertainment, and philanthropy.
We will honor Dr. Makola M. Abdullah, the 14th President of Virginia State University and a proud Howard University alumnus (B.S. ’90) as our 2026 Truth and Service Awardee. Dr. Abdullah will share insights on leadership, legacy, and the transformative power of an HBCU education.
Rooted in the legacy of Howard University and the shared mission of all HBCUs, our goal is an enjoyable evening celebrating excellence, unity, and purpose.
Together, we are investing in the “HBCU Blueprint” — creating pathways and for students from Central Virginia to attend Howard University and continue its proud tradition of leadership and service.
Thank you for supporting our event! Every ticket sale will bring us closer to achieving our mission!
