Filipino American Association of Certified Public Accountants was created in 1984, is a professional organization made up of:
- Individuals who have qualified as Certified Public Accountants in any state, territory or possession of the United States, or who have qualified as Certified Public Accountants in the Philippines, or as Chartered Accountants or similar CPA designation in any country or jurisdiction.
- Individuals who hold positions of responsibility or have proven track records in the accounting and other related industries.
- Individuals who are enrolled as students in any four year-accredited college or university who are at least in junior level status majoring in accounting.
- Spouses, significant others, and close relatives of members of the organization.
Our mission is to care for and strengthen the interests and needs of members and develop their knowledge, skills and abilities and attitude for them to attain their mission in life, thus help preserve and promote the status of the accounting profession.

Our vision is to represent the Fil-Am physician as a participant in providing care to population of state of Washington and to serve as a catalyst of change in whatever capacity we can as we serve in our respective area of influence.
The Filipino - American Physicians of Washington ( FAPWA) was founded in 1992 by a group of medical doctors in the Puget Sound for the purpose of fostering camaraderie, upholding the highest standard of professional conduct, enhancing academic excellence and rendering voluntary charitable service locally and abroad. This, to elevate the Filipino doctor as a leader in the community it serves.
FAPWA has consistently participated in various projects both in the USA and in the Philippines spearheaded by its rich history of capable leadership . For more than two decades , FAPWA’s “adopt a community” concept serving the indigent Aetas in Burog has become a model for other US based medical groups . FAPWA’s tradition lives on and is dotted with memorable milestones as its past presidents worked on a platform during their tenure of office to foster FAPWA’s mission of service.

The objectives of the Filipino Lawyers of Washington are to foster the exchange of ideas and information among and between the Association members and other members of the legal profession, the judiciary and the community; to encourage and promote the professional growth of the members of the Association; to provide service to the general and local community; to encourage and promote diversity in the legal profession; to develop and encourage cooperation with other organizations of minority attorneys; to celebrate the Filipino culture; and to provide a vehicle and forum for the expression of opinions and positions by the Association upon current social, political, economic, legal or other matters or events that concern the members of the Association.
