For more than 75 years, the Federation of Croatian Societies has been the heart of Croatian cultural life in West Milwaukee, WI and throughout Wisconsin. This community-rooted 501(c)3 organization brings together diverse Croatian civic, cultural, religious, and sports groups under one umbrella, creating a unified voice for preserving the rich heritage and traditions of the Croatian community. The Federation's commitment to cultural continuity is evident in every program it supports, from maintaining the historic American-Croatian Radio Hour—broadcasting since 1953—to stewarding Croatian Park, a cherished 30-acre gathering place in Franklin that has become synonymous with community celebration and family tradition. The park is home to the Croatian Eagles Soccer Club, a source of tremendous pride as North America's oldest active soccer club, and serves as the backdrop for countless member organization events and public celebrations. Beyond local initiatives, the Federation demonstrates its dedication to broader connections by facilitating meaningful relationships between communities, including the recent Sister City partnership between Milwaukee and Zadar, Croatia. The organization embodies a deep respect for heritage while building bridges between generations and across continents. Governed by dedicated community members and supported by active listeners and participants, the Federation of Croatian Societies represents more than an organization—it is a living testament to the resilience, pride, and togetherness of the Croatian-American community in Wisconsin.
