Named after Dante Alighieri, the celebrated Florentine poet and author of The Divine Comedy, the Society carries forward a 135-year legacy of promoting understanding and appreciation of Italian language and culture worldwide. Operating from West Vancouver, BC, the Society is one of over 500 chapters—400 of which operate outside Italy—spanning 60 countries across five continents, all connected through the central headquarters in Rome.

Partnership-Afghanistan Canada (PAC) emerged from a powerful vision of Afghan and non-Afghan Canadians who gathered in Ottawa immediately following 9/11 to address the reconstruction of post-war Afghanistan. Now based in West Vancouver, BC, PAC continues this founding mission as a volunteer-driven humanitarian organization committed to fostering long-term peace, sustainable development, and cultural preservation in Afghanistan. The organization's values center on supporting Afghanistan's reconstruction while maintaining its rich cultural heritage, and simultaneously helping Afghan newcomers integrate successfully into Canadian society.
