Founded in 2012 in Tucson, Arizona, the Tribal In-house Counsel Association emerged from a recognized need within Indian Country for a dedicated professional community. As more Tribes discovered the necessity of establishing internal legal structures—whether driven by governmental requirements or cost-effective solutions—the legal profession lacked a specialized association addressing their unique circumstances.
