Founded in 1953, the Phoenix Chapter of the Accounting & Financial Women's Alliance established a legacy of supporting women professionals in accounting and finance across the Mesa and greater Phoenix area. When the Mesa East Valley Chapter was created in 1986, it expanded these opportunities for leadership and connection throughout the region. In 2022, these two chapters merged to form the Valley of the Sun Chapter, combining their collective expertise and resources to strengthen the organization's presence and impact across the entire Phoenix metropolitan area.
