Felipe Martinez and Ayano Yoneda are back to teach Tango 101 in Berkeley! This is a series of six classes geared towards total beginners. Tango is an improvisational dance based on connection and communication. Felipe and Ayano teach the fundamental structures that give rise to grace, fluidity, and creativity in social dancing.
These classes are taught using the terms "leaders" and "followers," and are inclusive to queer, trans, and non-binary people.
Wednesdays: March 11th, 18th, and 25th, April 1st, 8th, and 15th
6:45 pm: check-in
7:00-8:00 pm beginning tango series
8:00-8:30 pm practica
The practicas are included with the classes. Stay, dance, and ask questions!

We are a 10-minute walk from Downtown Berkeley BART. For bike parking, use the bell to enter through the service entrance, and go straight to get to the back courtyard. No parking in the Berkeley City Club lot. Street parking is free after 6:00 pm.
It helps to arrive early on the first date of the series, March 11th.
