Institute of Chartered Accountants of India USA
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is a statutory body established by an Act of Parliament, viz. The Chartered Accountants Act, 1949 (Act No.XXXVIII of 1949) for regulating the profession of Chartered Accountancy in the country. The Institute, functions under the administrative control of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India. It has its headquarters in New Delhi and 5 Regional offices in Chennai, Kanpur, Kolkata, Mumbai and New Delhi. It presently has 164 branches spread all over the country. In addition, it has also set up 34 chapters outside India and an overseas office in Dubai. The ICAI is the second largest professional body of Chartered Accountants in the world, with a strong tradition of service to the Indian economy in public interest.
The affairs of the ICAI are managed by a Council in accordance with the provisions of the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949 and the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988. The Council constitutes of 40 members of whom 32 are elected by the Chartered Accountants and remaining 8 are nominated by the Central Government generally representing the Comptroller and Auditor General of India, Securities and Exchange Board of India, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Ministry of Finance and other stakeholders.
Over a period of time the ICAI has achieved recognition as a premier accounting body not only in the country but also globally, for maintaining highest standards in technical, ethical areas and for sustaining stringent examination and education standards. Since 1949, the profession has grown leaps and bounds in terms of members and student base.

The Council of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India at its 361st Meeting (February 2017) approved the formation of 29th Chapter of ICAI in San Francisco. ICAI San Francisco Chapter was established to serve the US based members of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
The San Francisco Chapter aims to generate goodwill between the accounting fraternities of India and the US and build an immaculate network to pave paths for its members to work with the local institutions and contribute to the well being of its economic citizens.
The San Francisco Chapter believes strongly in facilitating the integration process of Indian migrant Chartered Accountants coming to the USA . Towards this, we will offer mentoring support, conduct focus workshops and panel discussions, organize social events and participate in sports activities to build a community of like minded professional accountants who will find it easier to assimilate and contribute positively to the growth of the local economy.

Association of Indo Americans (AIA) is a non-profit organization which provides a forum to explore the rich and articleerse heritage of the Indian American community living in the United States. The mission of AIA is to foster and promote cultural and social interactions among the members, facilitate cultural events and educational programs pertaining to the Indian subcontinent, celebrate the articleerse cultural heritage of the Indian subcontinent and shares this rich culture with the community we now call home, USA. AIA also strives to provide support services to members of the Indian American community in the USA.
AIA promotes creative freedom to all communities that identify with India and the Indian diaspora. We want to encourage healthy competition to push creative limits in all aspects that speak of our culture including Indo-American culture. We will strive to do this in the most utopian way possible to create a safe, environment for everyone whose intention it is to promote creative cultural advancements of this community in a selfless and sustaining manner. We will pledge to bring all corners of our community to reflect the true colors of our vibrant culture.

Bhartiya Mandal Foundation
Bhartiya Mandal Foundation (BMF) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization built on the pillars of cultural awareness and community service. Our goal is to create an institution to preserve our Gujarati heritage through various cultural events while also giving back to the local San Francisco Bay Area community.
BMF aims to deepen our understanding of our history and culture as Gujaratis and recognize our responsibility to support each other, our community, and the larger society.
Bhartiya Mandal Foundation takes its inspiration from India Club which was founded in 1973 when they acquired the Bhartiya Mandal Indian Community Hall located on 440 Ellis Street in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood. This hall has been a sanctuary for San Francisco Gujaratis for decades offering a cultural events center which has hosted countless cultural events such as Raas Garbas, weddings, Diwali and Holi Celebrations plus much more.
Many of our Board members have grown up and built lifelong relationships attending cultural activities at the Bhartiya Mandal Hall.
BMF was established with many of the same goals as India Club and we want to carry on this vision while protecting their legacy as the first Gujarati cultural organization in the United States.
